DELHI

Meeting with Director FW and MNGO Coordinator NCT of Delhi on 20.02.2007 to discuss the status of old MNGOs (SOSVA & INDCARE).

Dr. Kirti Bhushan, MNGO coordinator informed that the format of MOU have been sent to all the CDMOs of Delhi.
The MNGOs are asked to contact the respective CDMO for signing of MOU as most of the old CDMOs are transferred

 

Another meeting with the MNGO Coordinator at DFW-Malka Ganj, for release of funds to MNGOs on 21.03.2007.

It was informed that MNGOs have not signed the MOU because of closing of the financial year.
Funds have not been received from the GOI.

 

 

Meeting with DFW & MNGO Coordinator at DFW-Malka Ganj, for release of funds to MNGOs on 08.06.2007

DFW informed RRC that Grant-in-aid for SOSVA has been approved and the DD was under process for East District

Proposals of 5 old MNGO’s that were pending have been approved.

 

RRC review meeting held on 24th August 2007 at NIHFW. Representatives of UNFPA DC NGO division Dr. V. M. Agarwal, RRC Coordinators & State NGO coordinators were present in the meeting

RRC – Coordinator made a presentation on the networking, advocacy and documentation / dissemination initiatives of RRC, the status and achievements of Mother NGOs.

 

Training Coordinator & Project Associate-RRC and alongwith Shekhar & Yogesh held a meeting with Dr. M.K.Aggarwal State MCH Officer, Dr. Kirti Bhushan, MNGO-I/c at Directorate of Family Welfare, NCT-Delhi 

Discussion about funding of old MNGOs, Project proposal submitted by VHAI on Anemia Alleviation Program Printing of Modules and prospects of IEC material to be purchased by DFW was held with the concerned Officers.

 

Training Coordinator-RRC held a meeting with Assistant Commissioner-NGO-Div. Dr. V. M Aggarwal Dr. Tarun Seem and Mr. Amardeep Singh Bhatia (MOHFW) on 06-09-07. 

Discussion held for release of RRC grant which is pending for 6 months.

Training Coordinator-RRC held another meeting with Mr.Amardeep Singh Bhatia (MOHFW) on 17-09-07. 

 

Discussion reegarding release of funds for Arunodaya Project of Arunachal Pradesh. and exploration of scope for projects under PPP

 

 

Training Coordinator-RRC participated in the Training Course on the Role of NGOs in NRHM in India at NIHFW on 21.09.2007

He gave inputs of RCH and service delivery aspects under MNGO Scheme

Meeting on PC- PNDT
The meeting on female foeticide was held in chairmanship of JS

RRC expressed its willingness in awareness generation in PC-PNDT act with the involvement of MNGOs & FNGOs It was urged to involve all MNGOs for this campaign as they are a part of the District Advisory committee under the PC-PNDT act

RAJASTHAN

Coordinator RRC-VHAI and Honorary Director RRC-VHAI visited Rajasthan to follow up on the proposals of the old MNGOs of Rajasthan

Dr. Rajesh, Project Director NRHM, assured RRC-VHAI that the project proposals of old MNGOs of Rajasthan would be approved by the end of March, 2007.

 

Coordinator RRC-VHAI visited Jodhpur on 14th March, 2007 to consider Gramin Vikas Vigyan Samiti (GRAVIS) as the Best Practice Center.

The guidelines of the BPC need to be reconsidered as it is difficult to find an NGO fulfilling all criteria’s even though they may have worked and shown remarkable achievements in the area of MCH.

 

Meeting of State NGO Committee   for approval of pending proposals of 5 old MNGO’s

 

The proposals were approved with the condition that the MNGOs will follow the 65% in programme and 35% in administration.

 

Meeting with Mission Director & Principal Secretary Health and Hon. Health Minister.

Attempt was made to revive the JSY helpline project. However, no response has been received yet. The principle of public private partnership is yet to be understood and translated in NRHM at the state level

 

Meeting with SNGOC for follow up of the status of the pending proposals.

 

 

 

Meeting with Chief Secretary, Principal Health Secretary, OSD to CM- Vasundhara Raje regarding JSY helpline.

 

Several attempts were made to understand the reason of abrupt termination of the JSY helpline and several meetings were made with all concerned. There still has been no response from the Department of Health and Family welfare.

 

Meeting with Ms. Aradhana Johri – JS NRHM & Mr. Amarjit Sinha regarding JSY helpline

Attempts were made by RRC Coordinator to revive the scheme.

 

Meeting with Ms. Aaradhna– JS NRHM

To review the progresses of JSY in Rajasthan & to further strengthen the scheme

 

Meeting with Mission Director NRHM

 

Meeting was held to review the progress of MNGO scheme & to discuss the status of project proposals submitted by MNGOs

 

Training Coordinator held a meeting with DFW & SNGOC on 31.07.2007 at Directorate of Family Welfare

SNGOC informed that initially the project proposals of ECAT, BCT and RVHA have been selected for disbursement in the first go
URMUL,CECOEDECON, CUTS will be taken along with other MNGOs in the second go

UTTARAKHAND

On 26th March, 2007, RRC-VHAI participated in the State NGO selection meeting with Mr. S. Raju, the Principal Secretary’s office (H&FW) at the
Secretariat in Dehradun. Dr. Das from ARC and MS. Bharti Dangwal, SNGOC of Uttaranchal was also present in the meeting.

The implementation money has been released to all the MNGOs on 1st April, 2007 except to Garhwal Community Development Welfare Society (GCD&WS) in Tehri. However, they would also be released the implementation money shortly.

 

 Meeting with the SNGOC and CMO Almora & CMO Champawat to discuss the implementation plan & issues of the MNGO and FNGO.

CMOs/BMOs should involve FNGO representative in their monthly meetings to take the stock of activities through sharing

  CMO- Pauri RRC participated in the advocacy meeting with CMO- Pauri to settle the issue of release of grant of HIHT-MNGO pending for last eight months.

HIMACHAL PRADESH

Training Coordinator RRC-VHAI visited Shimla –HP to participate in the State NGO Selection Committee Meeting on 22nd  January, 2007

NGO Ankur was selected as MNGO for Hamirpur district of HP.

Review of MNGO & FNGO activities were shared with the Principal secretary & Committee meeting

 

Meeting with DHS-HP and Mission Director NRHM at Shimla on 01.05.2007

Briefed on midcourse correction and on the job training to FNGOs of HPVHA.

J&K

 

The RRC coordinator attended the NGO Committee meeting at J & K. To strengthen the MNGO scheme and also involving MNGOs as ASHA resource center at district level.

 

The state has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the field appraisals of 15 NGOs to RRC. Appraisals in Jammu would be completed by mid of October.
A Regional advocacy workshops has been planned, once the appraisals of J&K are complete

 

Meeting with Secretary Family Welfare Kashmir 

 

To kick-start MNGO scheme and to ensure NGO get selected as MNGOs and also be involved as ASHA resource center at district level.

  State NGO Selection Committee meeting chaired by Mr. K.B. Secretary (Health & Medical Education)

RRC participated in the State NGO Selection Committee meeting chaired by Mr. K.B. Jandial, Secretary (Health & Medical Education) to select the MNGOs for J&K. Based on the field appraisals conducted by RRC and on RRC’s recommendations, 7 MNGOs of 3rd phase were selected for 7 districts Pulwama, Kupwara, Jammu, Doda, Kargil, Kathua and Poonch.

RRC made efforts to push the state during the NGO selection committee for the approval of pending project proposals and expediting release of funds to the old MNGOs. As a result of combined efforts of RRC and SNGOC the project proposals of MNGOs-Mahabodi International Meditation Centre-Leh and Women & Children Welfare Society, Budgam were approved and ordered for release of funds.
