  • The issues leading to declining sex ratio in the State of Delhi were discussed during the Thematic Workshop organized by RRC. The workshop provided an interface with the main stakeholders under PC-PNDT to work together while addressing the issue of ‘Missing Girls’.
  • Refresher trainings for the MNGOs and FNGOs of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand to familiarize the participants on issues emerging after analysis of data collected from the field; suggesting them interventions to address these concerns at the state level. Other issues discussed during these trainings were sex determination & female feticide and the PC-PNDT Act; Tobacco Control; impact of Anemia on maternal health and interventions to avert maternal mortality and ; key RCH service delivery issues like Essential Obstetric Care (MCH), Family Planning, Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health and Reproductive Tract Infections.
  • Exposure visit to SEWA and CHETNA organisations in Ahmedabad from 24th to 27th February 2009 for the old MNGOs of Rajasthan, Delhi, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh to share experiences and get oriented on the activities of the organizations.
  • ‘Base Line Survey and Data Entry Package’ training at Jammu for the MNGOs in the 3rd phase of implementation.
  • Facilitation Trainings for MNGOs of Uttarakhand and Rajasthan for Project Proposal Development. 
 

 RRC organized Refresher Training for all MNGOs og Himachal Pradesh on 5th 7 6tth November 2008 at Shimla. The Objectives of the training were

  • To familiarize the participants on issues emerging after analysis of data collected from the field and interventions to address these concerns at the state level.
  • Refresh the MNGO/FNGOs on PC-PNDT Act issues related to Tobacco in brief
  • To enable participants to understand the impact of Anemia on maternal health and interventions to avert maternal mortality.
  • To familiarize the MNGO/FNGO participants about the key RCH service delivery issues like Family Planning and ASRH.  
  • To enable participants to develop understanding on various schemes and projects under NRHM at the state as well as district level.
  • To enable the participants to know in brief about RTI/STI/HIV/AIDS and their management.
  • To address the problems related to Married Adolescent Girls (below 18 yrs.) 

A workshop to facilitate the MNGOs of Rajasthan for proposal development was organized by RRC on 15th & 16th October 2008 at Jaipur.

RRC team built the capacities of MNGO Ambuja Cement Foundation and its FNGOs in RCH & BLS/FGD during a training organized by MNGO at Roorke. RRC also participated as a resource person in RCH implementation-Population Stabilization & Family Planning workshop organized by MNGO SOSVA in Delhi.
