Role:

MNGOs nurture, manage and coordinate the FNGO implementation of RCH projects.

FNGOs implement small projects in specific aspects of RCH service delivery supported by MNGOs. SNGOs implement RCH service directly in the community in an integrated way.
Coverage: MNGOs do not implemented projects except as demonstration project Implements projects covering a population of two sub centers (10-15 000 population) Implements project covering CHC/block area.
Scope of Work: MNGOs move from being mere fund distributors to active facilitator and manage of projects implemented by the FNGOs.

Small NGOs implementing RCH projects on specific issue/aspects of an issue. (MCH, FP, RTI/STI, Adolescent Reproductive Health) supported by MNGOs.

SNGOs provide RCH service delivery in an integrated manner, (FP, MCH, RTI/STI, Adolescent Reproductive Health, gender based violence, male invovement, Dai training, MTP services, etc).
Mechanism of implementation: MNGOs facilitate FNGO linkage with district level health infrastructure and function. FNGO is supported by MNGO for meeting their skill requirement either directly or through linkages with district hositals, private service providers etc. SNGOs must have appropriate infrastructure (ambulance, clinic, equipment) adequately skilled staff, & appropriate network for referral service.
Fund for infrastructure development related to specific service: Not eligible Not eligible. SNGOs who require support for improving infrastructure related to the proposed services could be assisted based on appraisal.
