The RRC-VHAI team visited the MNGOs and the concerned FNGOs. In district Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Jalore, Udaipur , Hanumangarh, Jhunjhunu of Rajasthan and Almora, Pithoragarh, Champawat, Nanital, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar, Pittoragarh, Almora, Champawat and Udhamsinghnagar of Uttarakhand. The activities of MNGOs and FNGOs were assessed at the field level, gaps were identified and recommendations were given to the respective MNGOs, FNGOs and District and State authorities.

During the field visits, the RRC-VHAI interacted with the beneficiaries and District Health functionaries, ANMs, ASHAs, CMHO to identify the areas of strengthening partnerships in RCH service delivery and also discussed the areas of improvement.
 

 Monitoring and mid – course correction in the states of Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Delhi

The three old MNGOs RVHA, ECAT and BCT in Rajasthan, two MNGOs SOSVA and INDCARE in Delhi and eight MNGOs in H.P are in implementing stage. To review the progress of MNGOs and all FNGOs, give inputs and do mid course correction, RRC team made monitoring visits to two old MNGOs ECAT working in districts Dhaulpur and Karauli and BCT covering districts Churu and Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan and MNGOs SOSVA and INDCARE covering four districts in Delhi and two districts Kullu and Chamba in H.P covered by MNGOs SAVE & Friends Club Ray respectively. The RRC team during the field visits interacted with the beneficiaries and District Health functionaries, ANMs, ASHAs, CMHO to identify areas of strengthening partnerships in RCH service delivery. RRC team along with the MNGO and FNGOs discussed the areas of improvement jointly with the concerned District level functionaries. The activities of MNGOs and FNGOs were assessed at field level, gaps were identified and recommendations were given to respective MNGOs, FNGOs and District and State authorities.

Inputs for mid course correction and policy modification
RRC provided inputs on the draft of revised MNGO guidelines to NGO division and to the recommendations for Public Health Standards (PHS) for Primary Urban Health Centres (PUHCs)
