| Role & Responsibilities |
Primary responsibility:
The primary responsibility of RRC is related to technical assistance for capacity building of NGOs, CBOs, health care providers and all other stakeholders.

| Administrative Responsibilities: |
• As member of the State and District level RCH societies participate in the selection and sanctioning of the MNGOs projects.
• Conduct field appraisals of short listed NGOs under the MNGO schemes.
• Facilitate MNGO liaison with state governments.
• Coordinate & liaise with the Best Practice Centres (BPC). |
| Support to State NGO Committee: |
• Conduct field appraisal of short listed NGOs under the MNGO scheme in each state and submit reports to State NGO committee.
• Conduct/Participate in field visits and assist in review of periodic progress reports to assess effectiveness of technical support and training inputs.
• Analyse evaluation reports of MNGOs by evaluation agencies and modify technical procedures plans as required.
• Co-ordinate and conduct preparatory phase training of MNGOs. |
| Director Support to MNGOs: |
• Support MNGOs to develop detailed projects according to specified guidelines.
• Support MNGO to develop training and technical assistance plans based on participatory needs assessment.
• Strengthen MNGO/FNGO skills to assess community needs and enhance community participation.
• Conduct training workshops on a range of organisational, management and technical issues to increase effectiveness of MNGOs.
• Facilitate MNGOs to enable transfer of skills and knowledge to FNGOs through workshops, dissemination of relevant training and technical material.
• Document and disseminate successful approaches, innovations and creative strategies in RCH service delivery and community mobilisation processes.
• Identify best practice sites to serve as a learning ground for MNGOs.
• Enable MNGOs to study best practices for particular interventions through exposure and demonstration visits to Best Practice centres.
• Conduct quarterly experience sharing meeting of stakeholders. |
| Networking, Coordination Role: |
• Facilitate networking and sharing of experiences and lessons learned between MNGOs, FNGOs, State NGO Coordinators and State Governments.
As the role of the RRC will primarily involve capacity building of NGOs including MNGOs field appraisal among others as mentioned above, they can not simultaneously apply for MNGO status.
